Building Division Announces Changes to Counter Services
The Building Division is pleased to announce it is launching a new ePermit Resource Center. Our new ePermit Resource Center takes the place of One Stop Shop and provides customers with information necessary to obtain permits through the City’s self-service online permitting solution. Building staff will be teaming with Planning, Engineering and Code Enforcement to offer information on regulations, answer questions about individual projects, furnish necessary paperwork and provide direction on process. Beginning June 14, 2021 the staff will be available to assist walk in customers Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
This change means customers will save time, and have reduced travel demands and wait times. Projects can eliminate the need for multiple copies of construction documentation and reproduction costs. It allows for quicker review turn around, better record tracking, and more transparent process. This does mean physical documentation (including permit applications) will no longer be accepted at the service counter.
Permit research is available online or by appointment. Appointments for permit research or to meet with Building staff can be made by calling (415) 899-8989.
